Product Warranty Policy
Effective date: 31 October 2026
This policy explains warranty support for products purchased from Alpha Gym Gear.
1. Your Statutory Rights
Where the Consumer Protection Act applies, goods carry an implied warranty of quality.
Within six months after delivery, qualifying goods that fail to meet the Act’s quality requirements may be returned without penalty and at the supplier’s risk and expense. Subject to applicable law, you may direct that the goods be repaired, replaced or refunded.
This protection is separate from our 30-day change-of-mind return policy and any additional manufacturer warranty.
2. Manufacturer Warranties
Additional warranty periods and coverage vary by product and manufacturer. Any additional warranty offered will be stated in the product listing, supplied documentation or written quotation.
Different periods may apply to frames, motors, electronics, upholstery and other components. We do not promise a single warranty period for every product.
A manufacturer warranty does not replace your statutory rights against Alpha Gym Gear.
3. How to Make a Claim
Contact info@alphagymgear.co.za or call +27 81 036 3841 and provide:
-
Your order number or other reasonable proof of purchase.
-
Product name and model.
-
Serial number, where available.
-
A description of the problem.
-
Photographs or a short video where practical.
Stop using equipment that may be unsafe. Contact us before returning or arranging repairs so we can provide appropriate instructions.
4. Assessment and Resolution
We may arrange an inspection to establish the cause of the problem and the applicable remedy.
We will explain the assessment process and provide updates. Depending on your legal rights and any additional warranty terms, the remedy may be repair, replacement or refund.
We will not require you to deal only with the manufacturer where the law gives you a remedy against us.
5. Damage and Wear
Additional manufacturer warranties may exclude normal wear, consumable parts, accidental damage, misuse, overloading, inadequate maintenance or unsuitable operating conditions.
Any exclusion must be relevant to the cause of the claim and permitted by law. An exclusion does not automatically remove rights concerning an unrelated manufacturing defect.
6. Assembly and Repairs
Follow the manufacturer’s assembly, maintenance and repair instructions.
Unauthorised alterations or repairs that cause damage may affect coverage for that damage. This does not automatically invalidate every warranty right or unrelated claim.
7. Domestic and Commercial Use
Check whether a product is rated for domestic, light-commercial or commercial use before purchasing.
Using equipment outside its stated application may affect coverage for resulting damage, subject to applicable law.
8. Transport and Other Costs
For qualifying statutory defective-goods claims, Alpha Gym Gear will arrange and bear the return or collection costs as required by law.
For claims under an additional manufacturer warranty, any lawful transport, inspection or service charges will be explained before you agree to incur them.
9. Repeat Failure After Repair
Where the Consumer Protection Act applies, if a repaired product fails again or a further defect is discovered within three months after repair in the circumstances covered by the Act, the applicable remedy is replacement or refund.
10. Refunds
Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after approval, subject to applicable statutory deadlines.
